Before you install
What is stored on my machine?
Commits, analyses, and reports, in a local database. Delete the file and you are back to a fresh install.
Does it work offline?
Fetching commits needs GitHub and writing a report needs your AI provider. Already-written reports open and search offline.
What does the AI cost?
Agents: nothing beyond the subscription you already pay. API keys: the provider's tokens — a few cents for a 50-commit week on gpt-4o-mini. Each report shows what it used.
Which backends work?
Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Cursor Agent on macOS and Linux, plus OpenAI and Gemini keys. On Windows, use a key. Switching is a setting; cached analyses stay.
Can I move to the cloud version later?
Yes. Cloud rebuilds history from GitHub. Nothing is imported or exported.
